(Senior) Embedded Software Developer with safety focus – Mobile Machinery (m/f/d)

As part of our team, you will develop safety-critical embedded software for modern operator environments and help advance mobile machines from highly automated systems to intelligent, autonomous solutions. Depending on your experience, you will join as either as a Professional or Senior Embedded Software Developer. In the Senior role, you will take ownership across the entire product lifecycle, from requirements engineering, architecture, and software design through implementation, integration, and testing.

Your Tasks

  • Develop and integrate embedded software for safety-critical real-time systems in compliance with applicable industry standards and best practices
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to analyze, define, and refine software requirements
  • Contribute to the design and development of scalable and robust system architectures
  • Support in verification and validation activities, including the definition and implementation of automated regression testing concepts
  • Drive continuous improvement of embedded software development processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Share and broaden your knowledge and experiences within your team, providing guidance for software developers and creating new ideas together
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring our innovative High-Performance Computing Platform solutions to life

Your Profile

  • Degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional experience in real-time embedded software development, ideally within the automotive or off-highway sectors
  • Strong proficiency in embedded C programming and software engineering practices
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards such as IEC 61508, ISO 26262, and ISO 13849, as well as coding guidelines such as MISRA
  • Experience working with RTOS (SafeRTOS, PXROS) would be a plus
  • Experience with Infineon TriCore and ARM Cortex-R processor architectures is beneficial
  • Self-motivated team player with a structured, detail-oriented, and independent working style
  • Very good communication skills in English

We provide an attractive and performance-based salary, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade ("Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe") and we offer a minimum salary of € 59,000 gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard.
