IT Systems Engineer – Automation and AI (m/f/d)

Join our internal IT and Systems Operations team and play a key role in automating core Request Fulfillment processes across diverse systems. You'll design and implement intelligent, AI-driven workflows. With a focus on integrating large language models (LLMs) and orchestration tools, you'll collaborate with a cross-functional team on forward-thinking IT and AI initiatives that shape the future of our digital operations. 

Your Tasks

  • Configure and optimize automation workflows using Power Automate Suite 
  • Build AI solutions using Azure AI Studio / AI Foundry 
  • Automate Microsoft 365 processes and integrate AI features into workflows 
  • Create and maintain Scripts /Automations with Python and PowerShell 
  • Document technical solutions and ensure system reliability and scalability 
  • Develop and maintain automation for IT Service Request Fulfillment 

Your Profile

  • Experience deploying/managing LLMs or custom models in Azure, with Azure AI Studio / AI Foundry  
  • Skills in Python and PowerShell for automation, model interaction, and data handling 
  • Proficient with Jenkins CI/CD, Git (GitHub/BitBucket), and working with REST APIs, ODATA, GraphAPI, and JSON 
  • Basic knowledge of AI agents, orchestration tools, and M365 systems 
  • Optional certifications: Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure Fundamentals would be an advantage 
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language and collaborate in cross-functional teams 
  • Very good command of English language

We provide an attractive and performance-based salary, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade ("Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe") and we offer a minimum salary of € 53,000 gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard.
